Nepal is a heavenly abode that lies along the central section of the Greater Himalayas, bordered by Tibet to the north and India to the east, south and west. It comprises an area of 147,181 sq. km. and has a population of about 22 million. The country is an inspiring example of homogenous religion where Hinduism and Buddhism co-exists harmoniously, despite ninety percent of the people being Hindus. Along with the cultural, geographical and religious diversity, Nepal is a land of spectacular mountains and irresistible natural beauty. The world’s tallest mountain Mount Everest (8,878m) and many other popular mountains towers the landscape of Nepal. No wonder, trekking in nepal is an adventure of a lifetime!
